For a supposedly super intelligent core made out of countless numbers of Amphibias best and brightest.

They still failed in 2 basic ass aspects.

The first, getting outsmarted by Anne. I do not think Anne is dumb, but the Core should have been smart enough to think about the Calamity Powers.

And the second, not using the mind control collars on Anne and Sasha. Combined with Marcy, the Core could have had all of the Calamity powers in its direct control.
