Well the animorphs are all underage so that's probably part of it. Also harder to do art of slugs crawling into people's ears and make that sexy XD

The story itself was very good at not being terribly horny nor photogenic. Plus that one wizard book kinda ended up taking all the oxygen in the room, so no real push was made to keep the franchise in the public consciousness.

This takes me back, I remember reading the series, or at least what I had available to me, back in elementary school.

For the longest time I kept reading, parasite as, pastry, in one of the early books.

It took me a while to figure that out.
