Lets be honest, the hit rates in Pokemon are a higher number than the actual percentage in the engine. In fact I think I read a some calcs on this stuff and the visible numbers tend to be misleading. May just forgot about abilities and held items, as the alt said. Also nothing stoping you from trying again. This has been a TED Talk
