I have not seen this anime but from what i have been hearing on here it has the same premace as another anime i kinda watch called Problem children are coming from another world, aren't they?
Reading the plot synopsis of Problem Children, yes, it seems similar. I'm sure this anime is MUCH more clever, though. You'll have to see it to believe it. It's like a mind fuck.

I just saw ep 9 its not for me.
Did you really just skip to ep 9? From having seen nothing? XD
Not a very good way to get a feel for it. This anime makes NO sense unless you watch it in order. If I watched only ep 9, I'd be "meh" about it, too.
To each their own, but I highly recommend you try watching the first 3 episodes to see if it has potential for you or not.

The premise is pretty much the same, but problem children is more about people with special abilities fighting while no game no life is more about using your brain. Personally I prefer this anime more because there are rules to winning/losing while the other one is the main characters overpowering the underling then when the boss fights happen it's your typical shounen fight (then again that's the genre of the show =P)
