I do not feel the applejack tag applies here. She's in the text, but not in the actual picture.
The last couple pictures like this have followed the same convention. If the "off-screen" speaker has a name (usually 'is a canon character'), they get a tag. I happen to find it useful, but I can see the merits of only tagging characters in the picture.

You also don't have to put "_(artist) after the artist's tag unless their name is shared with another tag or could be easily confused with something else.
