I've been seeing a lot of art from this artist crop up recently, so I wanted to share a quote by them since it reflects the ethos behind a lot of their work:

Translation (Deepl): I like to call it "Buza-Maiface" when people do stupid and vulgar things while their facial expressions are forced to be fixed to a straight face or smiling face by hypnosis, brainwashing, or modification of common sense.

I don't know how accurate these translations are, but I have seen the theme of brainwashed people doing pretty outrageous stuff while having simple smiles on they're faces to be quite common, as well as the phrase "buzz face" used to describe it.

Now I know that a blank or normal smile with hypnosis isn't exactly unqiue (especially with common sense alteration), but I like how the artist phrases it here; it really highlights the gap between the severity of task the sub is made to do and how readily they accept it.
