I've could've sworn this was posted somewhere else in the Hub... The guy down below brainwashed the protagonist's girlfriend & the rest of his party into leaving him?
Technically yes, though it's a bit more complex than that. The blonde (the girl on the left) was the protagonist's fiance, but she's only PRETENDING to be under mind control (she's actually immune to the Hero's mind control power), and she knowingly & intentionally betrayed the protagonist. She only became his fiance in the first place in order to drive a wedge between the "Hero" and the protagonist, because she wants the "Hero" to be hers to manipulate and control (through deception), and she doesn't give a damn about the protagonist. In that regard she is unfortunately successful as the Hero is too much of a egocentric moron to realize he's being used and manipulated.
The other two girls however are legitimately under mind control, as they normally would have never been on-board with kicking the protagonist out of the party, as both of them had romantic feelings for him (and the girl on the right also wanted her first time to be with the protagonist, but due to the Hero mind-controlling her, that's no longer possible, as the Hero regularly exploits his mind control power to have sex with all three of the girls whenever he wants).
