I like to think this form of mind control is like the mind control we see bugs doing to other bugs in nature and she is now not only going to be forced to house and birth new slug babies but if danger appears has to fight to protect the eggs. Imagine her hypnotically fighting despite the eggs making her physically in no shape to fight but because she is skilled fighter she can put up a fight.
