Artist Commentary:

The DHMC has a strike team called Team Spiral.

They're usually only deployed when things need a more forceful approach, mind-controlling mechs and monsters, drone company infiltrations, hordes of mind-controlled civilians, rogue Gifted Ones, etc.

The team in Parker's branch consists of Grey, Cyan, Ruby, Amber, and Neon. The color-coded naming convention was there when they got there. They're a pretty good unit.

Grey functions as the team leader, no-nonsense, and cares deeply about his team. Tho he does regret the career choice of the DHMC, he only really took it cuz' people said it would be easier, and he is getting up there in age.

Cyan's the tech expert of the group, the smartest person in the room. Made a whole robotic-armed backpack and has tons of gadgets handy for their job. Though... she is a bit of a klutz. If anyone is gonna get hypnotized on their missions, it's most likely going to be her.

But she has prepared for this situation, and we introduce the 6th member of Team Spiral, Webbs. She is Cyan's AI assistant she made for the express purpose of waking her up out of trance or mind control, and if that fails, just knocks her unconscious and uses the backpack to move around like a freaky metal spider. Webbs has the disposition of a sleep-deprived call-center agent, who's just here to f*ck around.

The rest of the team... well, yeah I'll get to drawing them eventually lol.

It's genuinely refreshing to have the good guys win for once, honestly. Most other people on this site would've just written a story about the "Elite strike team" somehow getting played by the hypnotist.
