It would more properly be called "Aurification" (magiccards.info/query?q=aurification)

"Petrify" comes from "petra", which is Latin for "rock".

"Aurify" comes from "aurum", which is, naturally, Latin for "gold"

Unfortunately that's not really an option since tags have to compromise between accuracy, general applicability, and the chance that a random user would be able to find it using the autocomplete if they were thinking of that sort of thing.
