Is there something in the show that makes stage_hypnosis pertinent here?
I don't THINK so. The hypnotic suggestions Dipper is being given are similar to what would be suggested in a stage performance. However, with no visible stage, I don't think the tag applies. I'll remove the tag, someone can re-add it later if they figure out a logical reason for having it.

right, I didn't think one actually needed a stage and top hat for stage hypnosis, kind of how tech control is any kind of gadget or robot thing, and magic encompasses mutants and psionics, i figured anyone who was interested in looking for that would find this categorically similar to classic stage hypnotism
