Normally I don't shy away from things covered in blood. But this got really technical for me...
Something about the proportions of the ejection port on the rifle, character's hands and the magazine bother me. It seems like the shell casing would be smaller than the bullet that thing is firing. Even if her hands are a whole knuckle smaller than mine, she should be firing something comparable to 5.56 NATO at minimum, even accounting for the sides of the magazine. Even supposing a long round with a short case (for wetwork or the chewey kind of infantry) the round would have to get ejected perfectly or jam.
