Meh, not really. Cthulu is larger, has wings, more tentacles and a bear belly... and possibly no penis.

I have to say I'm a little disappointed in Mind Flayer lore now that I know that they kill the victims instantly when they feed. Also their mind control methods seem to appear darker to me than they once did. I feel like I've been looking at the world through the eyes of a child...

I have always seen them as horrible mind controlling slavers with withered bodies, so seeing them as sexy and muscular humanoids is strange for me. XD
As for the brain-sucking part, it's true it kills them, but maybe they don't do it in these pictures. It can be like people who pretend to strangle their partner during sex, to feel the power they hold on them even more...?

I've played in erotic RPs involving them before. The more gruesome times, they pick out only choice parts, replacing the pain with pleasure, and leaving behind the needs to breed, and to obey...

More often though, the mind control is entirely psionic, not breaking physically into the victim's mind, but enforcing their will with the power of suggestion alone, turning captured women into slaves addicted to the sex they can provide, which is most certainly mind blowing.
