Um, you'd think the courts would be curious about how every incident was virtually identical. That's kind of a red flag. And if she tried to use her power IN the courts, it would be all the proof needed.

I mentioned nothing that would imply country of origin. I like how both of you assumed I was specifying the American Legal System. If the same person was involved in the same time of legal situation repeatedly and under the same circumstances, it would cause at least some degree of suspicion. Further, since the text says she has to make extended eye contact for the effect to trigger, that means it's directed. It can only effect one person at a time. Once again. LOGIC.

there are "companies" that make money by patenting vague ideas, and then suing other companies, and then dropping the lawsuit for a big payout to avoid the cost of trying to defend themselves. They even regularly use the same court house in texas where they know the courts and judges tend to rule in their favor

I think we assumed the american legal system because it's so sue happy

Yeah no. The judge has this mind control thing called power: "Why would I a judge with < insert background here > toss my position between a pair of legs? Clearly she assaulted me. Obey my glorious wig."

It is an interesting fantasy scenario.

The ultimate problem is exposure. After one case the con wouldn't just be dealing with the judicial system, she'd be dealing with the 'relatives' of the powerful men she brainwashed. I put 'relatives' in quote marks because even if the mark didn't have family, they'd have people who are making high stakes bets on their success and failure. From a corporate point of view: the right person in the right place closes deals, locked down under a sexual assault charge is the wrong place, you need to replace that person, which costs time and money.

If even one of those 'relatives' had fucked up sensibilities the con could be looking at an extended stay in a black market mind control dungeon. That would be something rich people would buy. The rich relative gets the Stepford trophy wife of mind control out of it. They could also put the woman on payroll, but that assignment only lasts as long as you want to deal with the woman and the possibility of her failing.

A far better strategy would be to set up a long term blackmail operation between a group of people. She has the ultimate tool at her disposal, in that she can get the marks to cooperate with the scam through mind control. So long as she siphons out a small enough amount of money between enough isolated marks, she avoids many issues of exposure.

She can also potentially brainwash and marry any of the marks, leveling up from hypno-con artist to hypno-gold digger. By the time she exits the ages of porn fantasy, she'd have the perfect rich partner to keep her company... assuming she didn't put levels hypno-black-widow along the way. Then she would just be a dirty old woman sitting on obscene piles of money.
