And here i was thinking he had the power to abuse his status as a main character. You know, like immortality and stuff (and yes i've seen anime where the main character dies anyway but generally they're immortal)

You know, there are 2 cases of actual mind control in soul eater (4 if you count Crona brainwashing and the effects of madness) yet none of them are on here, the 1 in Arachne's Palace with the evil machine used on the witch girl with the fire weapon and the one in Soul Eater Not where the ditzy girl was controlled by the third Gorgon sister.

As I recall he DID abuse his plot armor, but not to make himself immortal. Though he actually FORCED immortal plot armor on another character, and that wasn't always pleasant.

Yup. Suzaku was willing to let himself be blown up to take out Zero, so out of desperation Lelouch geassed Suzaku to "Live". The fallout of that was very disturbing to say the least. Later in the series Suzaku went on a suicide mission, and halfway through the geass kicked in, which resulted in Suzaku nuking a city to save his life.
