Okay...that's, well, there's nothing wrong with it, but every time I see a manip like this, the little voice at the back of my head starts screaming, "Hypnosis can't DO that!". Even though adding in an explanation like magic or something would kill the storytelling, I can't enjoy it.

Am I alone in wanting an "Unrealistic Hypnosis" tag for things that go beyond suspension of disbelief? Is that something other people would agree is useful?

Trust me. If you complain that you're suspension of disbelief has been broken, people will attack you saying you're stupid for not liking the manip. Happened to me awhile back...

Seems kind of silly to me. The whole reason why there's a blacklist is because different people like different things.

The reason that we don't have an "unrealistic hypnosis" tag is because at least 90% of the cased these images show us aren't possible in real life. Hypnosis only works when the person being hypnotized is WILLING to comply, and even then it can only alter one's thinking patterns, not completely override it along with their personality.

I know this based off of my Psychology Class.

Alternatively, they "attack" you for being bothered by things most others aren't and being overly vocal about it when you could simply move on from the image to those you enjoy.



I suggest blacklisting the manipper, as most of their works seem to be about something you dislike.



The problem with that potential tag is that people have veeeeeeery different ideas for what goes "beyond suspension of disbelief" - unlike Large Breasts or Femdom or Hypnotic Ass, it's too subjective to warrant a tag. I mean, you obviously feel you can't get into it, whereas I have no problem with it whatsoever.

Not to mention bimbofication where breasts and ass get bigger and hair turns blonde. But suspension of disbelief can easily be held for something like that if you care for it, and transformation isn't too far off.

I personally am not a fan of transformation/transgender stuff, but I just ignore it and move on. Or ignore the caption if the image is good. I agree there's not really a need to complain if others enjoy it.

Nobody "attacks" you as much as they just call you out on complaining over every minor detail that doesn't agree with you. You can always, you know, get the stick out of your butt and ignore it.

Um...no. One of Lucina's more recent manipps is basically a monster girl version of Alien. Reading it I got confused because AS FAR AS I COULD TELL the Alien Girl had managed to hypnotize an automated computer. I understood from the replies I got it was meant to be someone operating a fail safe. Which is not how fail safes work so I didn't make the assumption. I got attacked left and right because my suspension of disbelief broke. I didn't attack the manipper or the image itself, I just said I had issues with it.

So fuck off.
