While this may be nerdy as fuck...Because this set of images featured Japanese text wouldn't that make it based on the Super Sentai Series Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (Wow..so many Ss...) and not the American series Power Rangers: Samurai and as such use the tags for the Japanese characters...?

Eh, better than Megaforce and Super Megaforce. Seriously, that was terrible. The Legendary Battle was lame. My big toe is more legendary

It's only better than Megaforce because Samurai was Shinkenger-anything/everything that gave it character, it followed the same plot minus all the good episodes.
But as a fan of Gokaiger I cannot believe how shit Super Megaforce is..I mean fml seriously?!

yeah, plus Samurai had episodes focused on each Ranger. Megaforce never had focus episodes for Gia or Troy. speaking of Gokaiger, I'm currently watching that one

Even without the comparison to Gokaiger or Goseiger, MF and SMF were just bad. I get what they were going for in MF. They had the original colors, so they were trying to go for the feel of the original Power Rangers. The problem they had was, that they couldn't do it. At least not with the writers or actors they had. Each of the Rangers were interesting to follow in Mighty Morphin'. Their bad acting initially was easy to understand(Hell, we didn't know better), and we followed along with their journey and saw not just the actors improve, but the characters as well. They grew up from whatever silly stereotype they were. An interesting concept. Billy, for instance, became so much more than he was by the time Zeo happened.

But in MF? Nobody changes in that show with the exception of Noah. Who became so much more of a bad ass by the end of it. And I think that was a necessity because of the Gokaiger footage since the Blue Ranger there was just a complete bad ass. Noah had to shape up. Orion wasn't bad either.

The rest of the characters were a complete mess to follow as well. Troy made balsa wood look interesting, Gia was the cocky smart one who didn't evolve beyond that role, Emma was the princess who saw the good in all things... that didn't go anywhere, and Jake was the dumb meathead comic relief(because of Gokaiger).

Another problem was that nothing made sense in SMF. So, Gosei(their Zordon for the two seasons), have these super bad ass morphers that can make you into any Power Ranger, and he doesn't give them the power from the get go?

Here's a better way(in my opinion), and would probably be better for characters and the story. So, the Armada arrives, and things are pretty crap on Earth. Troy had apparently sacrificed himself in order to defeat the Warstar threat. The team is leaderless, and they all need to step up to do their jobs. But their Megaforce powers are incredibly weak compared to the might of the Armada. Hope seems lost, until a ship appears. A pirate ship. The pilot, a mysterious ranger in Red. After helping the rangers fight off the Armada, the pilot reveals himself. An alien who seeks the ultimate treasure, and it's on Earth. At first, it takes a lot to convince the alien to fight. But, eventually, he comes around, seeing the beauty and value of the Earth. Eventually, we see Troy return in the form of the Silver Ranger, who returns thanks to the power of Gosei, who had been healing him.

Finally, they get to the Legendary Battle. Here, the Rangers have been pushed to the breaking point. The Armada is throwing everything they've got at the Rangers. But, the Rangers go out anyway, knowing that their chances are slim at best. But, when they go to fight, they find themselves with allies. All the rangers. Here at once. Earth's Defenders. And then they go! The SMF team progressively fighting through waves of enemies with each of the old teams. Mighty Morphin, Zeo, Turbo, In Space, Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force, Wild Force, Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder, Mystic Force, Operation Overdrive(meh), Jungle Fury, RPM, and Samurai. And then we see our team battle to the heart of the Armada, destroy the leadership, and see that the team had not only secured a legendary status, but the respect of all the other Power Rangers as well.

Also I'd get rid of the extra powers. Because that was dumb.

Aaaaaaaand... end rant. Thank you for reading just how nerdy I am.

Wow that was cool

Anyway Super Megaforce had its own extra special problems beyond the terrible terrible acting.

The one that comes to my mind is the "New Powers" crap which they just pulled out of nowhere using Dairanger powers despite them never even mentioning who or what they are! To follow it up each of the Gokaigers had a distinct style of fighting which creates this..wtf contrast when seeing how they fight in the Megaforce series. What irked me was how our Black Ranger (don't care about names they don't deserve it) gets shunted into Doc's style of being a bumbling guy who wins via luck...I agree entirely with the character development Noah's just felt forced as well. Troy what are your hobbies "Being a leader..." and? "Being a leader".

One of the things of BOTH series is how cheap they felt in comparison to older series. They don't even attempt to explain why the hell the Super Megaforce Rangers look like Pirates. They could have done that by having the Super Megaforce Rangers be pirates coming from space and starting as anti-heroes.

Anyway is the Dinocharge series any good or will it ruin Kyorguger which was good with flaws.
