Bah, the last arc majorly turned me off the whole Naruto manga. Kishimoto basically said "fuck it" to all the things that had made the story cool before :/ . He fell in love with his overpowered characters and made their family feud the only important thing in the world... so hell, why not end it full circle? If Indra and Ashura are basically responsible for ruining the world, maybe a mother's love will mellow them out a bit :P .

and unless I interpetted it wrong, Madara and the first Hokage(I know his name but my brain doesn't want me to remember right now) as well as Naruto and Sasuke are reincarnations of those guys

It was kind of tetchy there at the end, but i think it wasn't full reincarnation and instead a reincarnation of their power? Like "this child is born to have my Chakra" sort of thing rather than "this child is me in a different body"
And i think the shodai was hashirama but i never get that right so *shrugs*

Absolutely love the image. While i can't agree with that as the perfect ending, there are major problems with how the series ended.

right. man a lot of confusing stuff. and a lot of rushes at the end there. I mean, defeat Madara then Kaguya then Naruto VS Sasuke? yeesh. also, that battle didn't really hold the same feel as the other ones. heck, I felt more when they first fought in the Final Valley when Sasuke was being brought to Orochimaru than in that one.

(though to be honest I consider the manga began going bad the moment Pain went paladin on Konoha people after Naruto told him about a book !)
