In most versions of the game, she's trans. In the English translation, they don't mention that, and just call her female. I'd have to guess that they did this to avoid pissing certain narrow-minded folks off (and the fact most translations left her as trans shows how many narrow-minded folks are in English-speaking countries :p)

For the record, I'm down with Vivian being portrayed however. A lot of artists draw her as a futa (which, given my tastes in porn, I am a-ok with <3) some draw her biologically male, while others run with the English translation and make her biologically female. PenKen drew her with breasts here, but I suppose the rest is up to your imagination :p

Thanks Vorp! I have never played the game before, only heard about it because of the fact that the translation had changed Vivian's gender. I still think it's a great picture though.

I dont see why they needed to make her tran in the first place, what's the point?

It always confuses me why some people demand reasons for characters in games to be LGBT, but never demand reasons for characters to be cis or straight. Why does there need to be some important story reason for her to be trans? Would you ever ask a trans person "what's the point" of them being trans? She's trans because the writers decided she is. Except for the English writers, that is.

Just seems like a pointless reason for me is all, like I include a boy in a story why does it need to be a boy, that kind of thing. With that said I only saw english version of course so, where did this even come from? I mean, is there a part in the game like a 'tattle' where goombetta says, "she looks a bit, boyish"?
