It's just about identical to hypnohub.net/post/show/18811
I don't wanna say the guy traced it or anything, but if you overlay the two images it's pretty obvious the guy was copying it.

You all are going to piss that poor guy off with how often people keep taking his YCHs and making their 'own' art out of them....

Hey, at least I mention that he made the original and I back link it to the OP.
From what I can tell they traced some of it directly and changed a lot more(making her more heavy set, a pony, etc).

Tracing is tracing. And yeah, at least you have that. But you all are STILL going to make him do what other artists have done, and resort to other methods to prevent this dishonest behaviour, like obtrusive watermarks on all of his work.

I've been noting him too. This site is turning into e621 pretty quick I can see! Hateful community and general disrespect for artists!

You really need to calm down. I'm not sure where you're getting "hateful community" from, but the artist in question in this case seems to have taken no disrespect from this. You seem to be getting upset over how you THINK the artist should feel, and not how they actually feel.

I'm not upset about how I think he should feel.

All I did was say that people REALLY need to ask permission FIRST before deciding its okay to trace and take YCHs to recolour them. I got BASHED for it. That shouldn't have happened.

That is where I get the hateful community from, that attitude. 'oh, well you are thinking he is blabla' no, I'm thinking maybe you should ask before? Which you had now, but its after the fact so you can't really turn around and say he said yes and use that to attack something I said before he said yes.

I don't think it's disrespectful to edit another's work without permission, especially if credit is given.
What is disrespectful is to claim that work as your own. That's plagiarism, and that is happening here. It wasn't happening in the other images you commented on.

Is it polite to ask permission? Definitely.
If they say you can't edit it, should you comply? Probably.
But do you have to ask? I say no.
