Now with story (warning, long)

In the treacherous Everfree Forest there was only one creature that lightened the foreboding mood of such a terrible place. Zecora was a zebra; the only one of her species for miles. She lived in seclusion in her tree hut, making all sorts of potions known to pony kind.

Recently Zecora had discovered an old recipe she thought she had lost when she first arrived in Ponyville. She found it collecting dust in the darkest corner of her abode during a bit of redecoration. The recipe she had found talked about how to make the most delicious tea in the world. One which was good for both body and mind. Apparently, it would allow the being who drank it to be more focused. Since Zecora needed to make a lot more potions later in the day, it would be better to brew the tea and drink it.

It didn’t take that long to gather up all the ingredients. She conveniently had them stacked on her shelves and even the ones they weren’t were only a mile or two into the forest. Soon, she was starting to gently pour the ingredients into the cauldron where she always prepared her potions and drinks. What the zebra didn't know, however, that she had picked the wrong flower, it just looked a lot like the flower she originally needed. The flower had a yellow centre with black petals and was soon thrown into the cauldron as well.

Zecora continued to stir the mix and was close to completing the recipe, unaware of the mistake she had made. When it was finally finished Zecora took out a long wooden ladle and transferred some of the green potion into a cup. Zecora looked at the drink in her hands. Did it seem a bit darker than what she had originally read on the recipe? She didn't really know, so she just thought that it was something in her mind which made her think like that. Unknown of the danger which lay ahead, she decided to bring the cup to her lips, softly drinking from it

The taste was similar to sugarless tea with a hint of a rubbery flavour. She gagged a bit, disliking the strange flavour and quickly poured the substance back into the cauldron. “It appears I have made a slight error with the blend,” she said to herself in that heavy accent or hers, “This bitter flavour isn’t something I will ever recommend.”

She looked at the liquid remedy she created and shook her head in disapproval. The Zebra was about to start the progress of removing the failure blend from the pot when her entire body froze up. The stomach turning flavour returned to pester her taste buds stronger than ever. She felt like throwing up but couldn’t even open her mouth. A strong chill was running through her body, numbing all the feelings in every joint.

Zecora was the best potion master in Equestria with an additional knowledge of magical aliments. However, even she was left mystified by what she mistakenly produced. She was getting scared of what would transpire next, knowing that there would be no one to help especially since her old assistant, Applebloom, was out exploring new interests.

She had no idea that a black liquidly blotch had appeared in the middle of her stomach, seeping out of her skin. It grew and expanded in a blink of an eye, spreading all over her upper torso including her arms and down her legs, covering them along with her feet. Even though Zecora could not see this happening she could hear something that sounded like squeaking rubber.

Her fears were gradually dying down. Not because she had grown accustomed to her situation, but due to the fact she was losing control of her emotions. She quickly caught onto this being an expert of enchantment spells and stared to worry only for that feeling to fade away soon after. Zecora was finding it next to impossible to think at all, let alone try to think up a solution to the problem. It was getting to the point where she no longer considered this a problem in the first place. There was this unknown urge promoting her to feel she had to remove not only her emotions but her personality and any memory she had no matter how dear to her heart they may have been. It was far too powerful for her to resist such a dreadful proposal.

Her pupils were now gone and her eyes were completely white with a slight green tinge. Her expression showed absolutely no emotion to comply with the orders being swiftly programmed into her empty mind.

“Activating new directive – spread and convert,” Zecora stated in a monotone voice. There was only a tiny remnant of her foreign accent left in her tone.

Gaining full control of her body Zecora marched towards the exit, arms held out in front of her. Her movements were robotic and her new latex body squeaked with every step she took.

Blissfully ignorant of the fate of her Zebra friend, the Alicorn Princess of Friendship, Twilight Sparkle, was in the conference room of her castle home talking to the princess of Equestria, Celestia. The two of them were discussing meeting up with the Griffons of the recently reformed Griffon Kingdom in order to improve and expand their relationships with the other species that populated the land.

“Do you really think they would want to form an allegiance with us so soon, Princess?” Twilight questioned the heavenly mare, taking a sip of her tea. “After all it’s only been a month since Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash taught Gilda the power of friendship.”

“A month is a lot of time, Twilight. Anypony - or in this case Griffon – has the chance to reflect on what they think is truly important,” the wise Celestia said, putting on a gracious smile hoping it would reinsure Twilight.

Twilight smiled back. “Maybe you are right, Princess. Still there is the matter of the Cutie Map,” she then said, her uncertain mood making a return. “What if I or either of my friends is required during our visit to the Griffon Kingdom? What if I accidently say or do the wrong thing that incites a war?”

“You are stressing yourself again, Twilight. Regardless of what may or may not happen I have every faith in your abilities and just know you will make the right decision in the end,” Celestia encouraged her ex-student, getting to her feet and put her one hoof on her shoulder, looking into her eyes with a warm smile.

Seeing Celestia always putting such loving support in her no matter what always lured Twilight out of any dreary mood. “Thank you, Princess Celestia. I should stop making a habit of focusing on the negatives.”

Celestia chuckled. “I would recommend that. Now if you excuse me I have to return to Canterlot,” she stated as she made her way over to the exit. Spike took a break from reading his comic to open up the doors for her. “I will be checking in on you and your friends next month. If there are any problems don’t be afraid to send me a letter.”

“Say hello to Princess Luna for me,” Twilight said, waving goodbye to Celestia.

“I shall. My sister has been feeling a bit under the weather and she will appreciate your words,” she said, waving back. She then looked down at the little dragon who had gone back to being engrossed in his graphic novel. “Ah, I see you are reading the newest issue. That’s a good one.”

Spike glanced up just in time to see Celestia wink teasingly at him before she exited the room. She headed down the long corridor, passing by a jolly Pinkie Pie pushing a cart full of tasty treats she had baked, making sure to acknowledge her presence with a friendly gesture.

She took to the skies the second she got outside. From her altitude she could view the entirety of Ponyville and its peaceful and active atmosphere. After the trauma of super powered creatures and other threats that had plagued them over the years, it brought a smile to Celestia’s face to see a long period of harmony. It made her feel even safer for not requiring her personal guards to accompany her everywhere she went.

Since it was such a nice day Celestia decided to take a small detour to observe the other end of Ponyville. When she got to Fluttershy’s house on the outskirts of the Everfree Forest she noticed Zecora and instantly became puzzled by her bizarre new attire and robotic movement. Having heard all about the Zebra from Twilight she thought now was as good time as any to finally have a quick chat with her.

“Hello there. You are Zecora, correct?” Celestia politely inquired, landing a few metres away from her. “I’ve heard so much about you from Twilight Sparkle and her friends.”

Zecora did not respond to Celestia during her slow march over to her, staring directly at her with her empty emotionless eyes. Celestia was creeped out by Zecora but kept up her gracious demeanour not wanting to come off as rude. For all she knew it could have been one of Zecora’s customs and, being the ruler of Equestria, had to respect something like that.

Zecora suddenly lunged forward, grabbing Celestia tightly and planted a kiss on her lips. This took the Princess by complete surprise; all she could do was stare wide-eyed as Zecora pulled her from the kiss and took a couple of steps back.

Celestia, while not wanting to be seen as rude, had not expected such a greeting from the zebra, so she did what every sane pony would do and began to push Zecora back. "What... why have you done that?" She asked, her eyes still wide and demanding an answer from the zebra, obviously quite confused.

For the second time Zecora did not supply the baffled Alicorn with any response other than stare blankly at her. This was starting to freak out Celestia quite a lot now and she began to back away. For once, she felt vulnerable again, just because she could not explain this.

"Talk to me!" She shouted at her, losing her calm but that was just before she felt herself slowing down, joints locking up. “What is this? I can’t move!”

“The conversion has begun. Soon you will become a drone.” Zecora spoke, her monotone voice creeping out Celestia further.

Even Celestia hadn’t the faintest idea what Zecora meant by conversion and drone. Throughout her entire reign as ruler, she had never once come across such terms, even when powerful magic was involved. She then remembered Twilight telling her that Pinkie Pie once referred to her as an Evil Enchantress, which would explain a powerful binding spell but Twilight also informed her it was a mistake on Pinkie’s part.

Celestia’s ongoing thoughts would soon come to an abrupt halt as her mind was taking up vacancy. By this point the black latex uniform had already formed around her body leaving small gaps for her wings. The distressed princess could hear the squeaking but thought nothing of it, having bigger problems plaguing her mind. She wanted to cast one of her powerful spells to counter whatever it was trying to take her over yet could not think of what one to use. The numerous choices were being wiped away from her memories one-by-one the very moment she considered it.

All-in-the-while the zombie-like Zecora remained where she was, waiting patiently for the ruler of the land to transform to be like her; a mindless creature for the rest of their forever changed lives.

Celestia’s panic-stricken eyes were diminishing, becoming replaced by a pupil-less milky white with a lightly green tinge as the last scraps of free will and memories drifted away. Celestia tried one final act of resistance, to make certain that she wouldn't fall to this type of control. She tried to remember her sister, her lovely Luna, the pony who she had such a bond with. Surely, the connection between the two of them should be enough to break this mindless state, right?

She was wrong, though, because the moment that she thought about her sister, the nanites that Zecora had kissed her with were now starting to delete both the bond between the two sisters, as well as any memory of Luna. Celestia was now, like Zecora, a mindless drone.

“Activating new directive – spread and convert,” Celestia dully announced as she lifted up her arms to hold out ahead of her now that she had regained control of her body.

The two drones turned around and marched towards Ponyville to continue their one and only mission. While Zecora’s memories were entirely wiped clean there were little remnants of Celestia’s memory remaining. She could remember the last ten minutes of her previous life including her meeting with Twilight Sparkle, though she could not recall what they were discussing.

Her reprogramming corrupted her mind to see the Princess of Friendship as the next target for only her to assimilate. As a matter of fact, her programming was telling her to ignore other potential targets and go directly after her. The unsuspecting Alicorn was top priority. Even though every drone was programmed to lack any type of emotion, Celestia had sexual desires towards Twilight and knew she just had to be her drone partner.

When the pair arrived at the town of ponies, they received countless confused stares from the residents. There was hushed talking all around as Zecora and Celestia parted ways; Celestia heading towards the castle and Zecora marching in the direction of Sugar Cube Corner. Some ponies considered going up to the drone princess to inquire if she was okay, but none of them wanted to address royalty without permission.

Hours later Twilight Sparkle had been successfully converted into a latex-wearing drone, abandoning her old life, memories and everything she once held dear to her for all eternity. The former Friendship Princess was standing side-by-side with Celestia, holding hands and staring through the huge double glazed windows at the unsuspecting townsfolk with their blank white eyes.

Behind them were Zecora with her drone lover, Gilda the Griffon. The once bad-tempered griffon had come to Ponyville to see her friend Rainbow Dash to catch up on old times, but made the mistake of asking Zecora where the rainbow coloured mare was. Instead of reuniting with her childhood buddy, Gilda was now a white-eyed latex wearing drone with her feet exposed unlike her enslaved companions. Mainly because unlike her fellow three drones, she's a griffon with lion paw-like feet that would be useful to enslave others.

Both Celestia and Twilight looked at each other and nodded, aware of each other’s thoughts which were... of course, the same. "Affirmative, T-638, Ponyville will be converted... and soon Equestria. All shall become latex drones." Celestia stated in her monotone voice, gazing at Ponyville once more. The ponies of Ponyville wouldn't know what hit them.

Zecora took one step forward. “Princess Luna should be here real soon,” she stated. She, along with the other drones, had read through the entire library to gather up information about the world of Equestria. It was the only possible way after the mind wipes. “Estimate time of arrival is ten minutes.”

Gilda then took a step forward. “Princess Cadence and Shining Armour of the Crystal Kingdom will be here in approximately twenty five minutes,” she robotically informed the others before taking a gentle hold of her partner’s hand, squeezing it softly.

“Acknowledged. The three targets shall be assimilated. Units are prepared for their arrival.” T-638, formerly Twilight Sparkle, robotically announced without turning to look at the two drones. “Our programming shall be carried out.”

There was a very faint smile on Celestia’s, now C-538’s, face as she gently squeezed her partner’s hand. “G-228 and Z-331 take your proper positions and await the arrival of your designated targets,” she ordered without so much of a single glance at them.

“Affirmative,” Gilda, AKA G-228, replied, saluting. “Units are now proceeding to the appropriate setting. She marched out of the door, her arms held outstretched ahead of her, followed closely by Z-331.

C-538 turned her head slightly to look at T-638 and she looked back at her. Neither of them had to say anything to each other due to their connected thoughts. The two of them knew that their mission had only just begun and that their victory was most assured.

The end
