Ok this is driving me bonkers. According to the hand placement and hilt is the blade of the sword backwards? If so the idea of using her sword in the first place would be non-existent with or without hypnosis.

I can totally be wrong, but I see it as being on the side of her belt; she hadn't gotten the chance to take it off though.

1) what belt?
2) regadless, take a closer look at the hilt of the sword. It is clrealy facing in the opposite direction from the sharp edge of the sword (so if one was to draw, it the cutting edge would be facing toward the wielder).

to be fair, if you look at the sword, the wrong-facing backside of the sword seems to be the side that was sharpened, so two wrongs make a right here, I guess?

from a pure practicality standpoint... given the angle of the blade and hilt she should draw the sword with her right hand.
