Looks like the blur was intentional by the original artist via use of a special brush, rather than the result of bad compression.

I see what it is! This image is scaled up in size. May not have been the intention, but it is. If you go to the source you posted and click on the image, when it opens up it's about 2/3 the size of this upload.

Nope. This is the full res pic as it appears on tumblr. It's just this blurry. Appears to have been a stylistic choice.

This was a picture I got for my close friend (and myself, of course) involving my friend's OC, Ariel. Had been trying to commission Typo/Dusk for a few years, considered him a white whale artist, but finally got it done last night and god am I happy with the results. The blurriness also comes from that this is a sketch commission, not a full on line art piece.

I will say I not only like this, but all the stuff in that same source post is all to my taste. So now I have an artist to watch, yay!
