If people feel like this one panel isn't enough to justify posting this here, then go ahead and delete. What can I say, even though the animation often gets lazy and the fanbase is utterly cancerous, I still love the hell out of this show. And I am incredibly salty that it's on hiatus again for who knows how long. I should note that this comic is just a silly fan theory, but I tagged it as "spoilers" since the thing that it's a theory about is potentially a spoiler.

Holy shit this was made as a joke about the lengths people would go to pretend Rose never did anything bad after the reveals about how she imprisoned Bismuth for over 5000 years, and how she was revealed to have shattered Pink Diamond.

I just saw this posted on an image board without any real context. I didn't know this was actually meant as a parody of anyone. I just thought it was kind of cute and funny was all.

And anyway the site is meant to focus on the sex of course, but 100% of the pictures don't have to be.

Eh, while personally, I do think there were more circumstances surrounding Pink Diamond's shattering, I'd be surprised if it was this. So, as a parody, it works.

Personally, I find myself wondering if Bismuth knew about this, and if not, how she'd feel.

... As for lion, I'm starting to think he's a corrupted gem Rose managed to partially heal. Either that or some sort of trans-mutated real lion, since Rose really liked lions, apparently.

And yes, it is odd to see this on a fetish site... Or is it?

When someone on reddit brought up that most desert sand is ground up quartz, I jokingly suggested that since both Lion and Rose's other lions were only seen in the desert before Steven brought Lion home with him, that Rose used her powers to animated the sand as guardians of a sort. A lot of people seemed to think it was at least plausible.

What sticks out in my mind is that during the Steven/Bismuth fight, Bismuth was going off about being sick of RQ's lies, and claiming that RQ's real reason for sealing her away and not telling anyone was that Bismuth was the only one to know the truth. While I don't think she's going to end up being 100% right, whatever those "lies" are I'm betting that means we have at least one more big reveal about RQ somewhere in the future; and that it certainly doesn't look like RQ will come out smelling like a rose.
I'm not really seriously guessing about it though, because I"ve been wrong about what direction I thought this show would go in before.
That being said, if we wanted to discuss the show it might be better to move it elsewhere. There was an old forum thread that got derailed by arguments and shitposting, but maybe it could be revived, or maybe it could be moved to the general media discussion thread.

Okay, so the plot of this comic is that Pink Diamond possessed Rose Quartz, shattered her old body so she would stay in Rose's body, and re-made her old gem into Lion. But there's no reason to think there is any mind control going on. After all, we don't accept body control as a valid form of-OH WAIT.
