Ah better man, one of the more obscure and bizarre anime out there. On a different note, why did they never finish dubbing Betterman's better known brother, GaoGaiGar?

The mind controlling bugs were in the show, the villain in the pic kidnapped Miyako and tried to take control of her, but she was rescued just as one of them was crawling into her mouth.

It pisses me off when a character is about to be MC'd, only to be interrupted at the last moment.

I seem to recall an episode were most of the main cast were infected by some kinda virus that made them irrationally hungry, essentially turning them into non-undead zombies.
