You're only allowed to have 3 of your pictures visible on the first site of the hub. Please change it accordingly, even though I have no idea which tags to use in order to do this.

If you click 'edit' rather than respond there's a tickbox that determines whether or not something shows up on the index.

Also afaik it only applies to pooled images. If they're unrelated enough that a convincing case can't be made for pooling them there's no need to hide anything.

@Za Furu
Basically, try not to post too many images at once, especially from the same artist. We wanna try and prevent stuff being pushed off the front page too quickly.

It's not strictly a rule - it's a guideline. Any more than 3 and people tend to not appreciate it, but it's not by any means a breach of the site's rules to upload more and not hide. Especially if it's not necessary to pool it - images that have a creator in common, but that are not a strict set/sequence, don't usually necessitate a pool, so the bulk posting guidelines may not even apply.

It's misleading of you - a mod, of all people - to imply that it is a strict rule.

Well, I'll have a talk with an Admin to make this an approriate rule then. It has been mentioned by various mods that we should offer every artist the same amount of space to let them view their pictures. I can't mention the thread in which this was discussed, but IIRC, it has been used for pictures which are *not* pooled yet.

I thought it would be some basic logic, because if it applies for pool pictures, why wouldn't it apply for singe pictures? Try to explain, why you would rather have the front page flooded by different pictures of the same artist, than a comic/manga with the same amount of pages (let's say in this case 15+). It's not different at all. I mean by all seriousness, I don't mind the front page being flooded by a single artist, but the other users may complain about their pictures not getting enough attention or similiar. And if you are okay with people literally spamming pictures, alright.

I think its a perfectly fine rule. Spam is a pretty frustrating thing to deal with. Besides, seeing as you are simply sending more images of the same artist (which it looks like you are i may be wrong here) Then people can just click the source link and look at their art there. You'know, by supporting the actual artist by looking at the original place the drawings have been uploaded instead of just re uploading their entire photo album here because people are lazy.

As a general rule of thumb, when posting a related set of images all at once that necessitates a pool (such as a comic, or an image set or sequence), choose a few (2-3) images that best represent the entire set and temporarily hide the remaining images from the post index.

Bold added for emphasis. Quote is from the official guideline. I once brought up with Vanndril that some people were hiding posts from the index simply because they were all from the same artist, and Vanndril confirmed that that is an incorrect application of the guideline.
