The majority of my older manips have exceptionally long stories for a single image making them a bit clunky I feel. I've been trying to cut them down which means sometimes condensing whole paragraphs into single sentences. It can feel like trying to write a haiku at times, but I think it helps. In this particular manip I have to imply that this is after several weeks of brainwashing with a handful of words.
The other difficulty in length is the actual acts of a story. With my last few manips I've cutout an introduction and skipped to a snippet toward the end of a story in order to shorten things down. It's a weird line between getting enough in there and not making every image 80% text.
You're not the first to mention wanting longer stories, and I do appreciate feedback even if I don't always reply. I'll consider it the next time I sit down to make one of these.
