So... trying something different with this one, and BOY am I ever happy with how THIS one turned out! Seems I have a bit of a knack for drawing Dragon Ball stuff, I suppose. I should do fan-art more often. Anyway, put in some detail, mixed in a background screenshot from Dragonball Xenoverse 2 of Kame House, and even used a separate layer and some blended, gaussian-blurred shadows to blend them into the scene.
I really took extra care drawing this one. Even drew them VERY large on the paper originally, each one an entire sheet of paper big to make room for detail. I'm very happy with this one. :D
P.S: I always LOVED this outfit from when it showed up in an episode of Dragon Ball. ;)

how is this a thing?
I think it has a lot to do with them being commonly associated with each other in the original Dragon Ball series. Immediately upon her debut, she was brought in as a joke by Toriyama for Goku and Krillin to present her to Roshi and then 80% of the reason for her appearances since was as a foil to Roshi's attempts to take advantage of her, and her transformation into her alter ego to violently oppose him.
That's certainly why I drew them together in this one. Because I felt like this is a thing that would totally happen in the original Dragon Ball if there was more hypnosis in it than there was. Seems like a thing he'd do, based on the other scenes he's had with her.
At least as far as the Pre-DBZ episodes were concerned, they kinda go together in terms of the Roshi-Hitting-On-Launch running gag like one would expect a comedy pair like Wile E Coyete and the Road Runner or something to be.
Like, I mean if Wile E wanted to screw the roadrunner rather than eat it, I mean. Er, weird metaphor aside, I just mean as a comedy duo, that is. And most every drawing of him on here mostly includes her and vice-versa, for the same reason.
Granted, yes, early on, he also did just as much with Bulma, but Bulma became more of a character that found a wider role outside of just being part of Roshi's running joke, while Launch never really did.
....I mean Toriyama kinda TRIED to hint at setting her up with Tienshinhan after DB transitioned to DBZ and the running joke came to an halt, but then she just.. ended up in a bar and then fell off the face of the earth, instead. :P
Anyway, long story short, these two had the most in common together as part of their running joke and when it ended, so did she.. mostly.

Heh I actually once stumbled across a Doujinshi where Roshi took control of her... and then she sneezed
