I haven't had the chance to check out Etrian Mystery Dungeon yet, but from what I've heard there's a hypnosis status effect that causes party members to throw away their equipment and items, which is what this pic is referencing.

Nice to see Etrian Odyssey get some recognition, it's a good dungeon crawler series that deserves more attention.

ETRIAN ODYSSEY HYPNOSIS YES
It's the thing I didn't realise I needed so badly. Pretty sure there's one or two lewd pictures of Ricky in a daze too, somewhere on the Internet.

Also, personal opinion, but I don't think Etrian Mystery Dungeon is all that great. If you're not familiar with Mystery Dungeon games or Etrian Odyssey games, EMD is just about the worst way to get into either. It's not altogether the worst, but it's VERY rough around the edges, and not all that balanced. If you like dungeon crawlers, right now, the best Etrian Odyssey game to get into is probably EOU2, but it'll make all the previous games seem slow and outdated by comparison.

Here's hoping for more Etrian goodness.

Never cared for the games always seemed like more "work" then fun but this idea is very nice~ I doubt the real animations are super sexy but cute maybe?

Oh yeah, I'm a huge fan of the Main EO games (still hoping for a EOV localization).

I managed to find the Ricky pics you mentioned, while searching I also found another pic of Chloe and Arianna that was tagged as hypnosis, although there's no visible mind control in there.

I'm sure it'll be localised at some point. Otherwise there's no reason to continue living.
And thanks for uploading them. Even if people aren't into the games, the character designs alone are definitely worth checking out.

A lot of the fun comes from how these games work really well as a template, of sorts. Like a D&D campaign, you make your characters, make up their stories and imagine them going through and mapping out the massive labyrinth/s or going about the towns, while the game provides enough structure to support that. Of course it also provides enough to be a very well-made DRPG, even if you're not so good at that. I wouldn't call it a grind, but the way these games work is that you slowly make progress, chipping away at the unknown, venturing further and further with every excursion you make. But it's not for everyone.

Regarding EOV localisation, I remember hearing a few months ago that ATLUS wanted to space out their localised games to avoid creating competition with their own titles. Since Persona 5 is out of the way now, we'll probably get news of EOV soon enough.

Ah fair enough I've played all the demos on 3ds and they're well made games for sure just ya not my cup of tea especially when they seem to throw so much at you at once at least in those.
