Honestly, as a mod I believe it's probably good enough to stay, but as a regular user/individual, I do agree with it being thinly veiled MC. If anything, it probably fits into our Transformation posts where it's not really hypnosis, but the physical transformation would also include mental/personality, so it's technically fine. Personally, I just find them as an excuse to see character X acting like a Y, which I get how most people are into, but for me, it really needs to involve some brainwashing/MC to really enjoy...

I really wouldn't call it mc, being a sub doesn't imply hypno at all. Look at the hypnotized_hypnotist tag for example.
