I just took random pic from my 'not manip material' collection and manipped it. Yeah.

Because... It's late and I am sleepy and grumpy. I was kinda pissed by those spiral eyes and... eh.

They both look pretty bad tbh. The previous one was at least in a submissive posture. Both of these are more "lul spirals" than that, even the random glowy bits. :X Source material matters. I think you're being way too anal and only seeing the "work" rather than looking at what makes a manip, which is mostly the source material. I would understand if you like, took the original of the last spiral-eyes thing and made it better and interesting, but you've sort of invalidated your own point here. Both of these are shittier than the original because there's no context besides the obvious alterations.

Look at it this way, neither of these have any text. With the previous one, I can absolutely imagine some sort of PoV scenario where the 'narrator' is interacting with his thrall by the fire. This one lacks any sort of contextual obviousness. I can't imagine any sort of scene like "oh hypnotized while playing soccer." It doesn't do anything for me. Maybe people like having stories written in the margins because they have no imagination of their own idk. Still, no QC for you.

In all honesty though, I can be guilty of low effort image manips myself. Most of my time goes into writing, leaving little time to the edits.
