I never got into this series myself, but I figure that when it started with hot, blonde girl King Arthur that this kind of thing was just going to be a given for every figure.

Depends what class they get summoned as. A lot of heroic spirits have have the ability to be multiple roles, and look a lot different as a result of being summoned as something different than typically expected.

Parvati was summoned into the body of Sakura Matou in Fate/Grand Order, who has a... shall we say, dark side if you've ever played through the Heaven's Feel route.

This image is what happens when you take a girl playing host to magic-storing parasitic worms, stick a fertility goddess into her body, and corrupt her with the physical embodiment of all the world's evils.
