Given the hypnosis is otherwise being presented fairly realistically, I call bullshit on the "lol I lied" part.

He would have resisted the part to have a hypnofetish.

Hell, from personal experience if something goes wrong while in trance I can bite the inside of my mouth to instantly snap out of it.

(Again, only saying this because up to that point it was presented realistically)

There's nothing realistic about falling into trance against your will. It's hard enough for some people to be hypnotized even if they're 100% on board, if you're trying to "resist" hypnosis, all you have to do is daydream or think about something else. If you want to complain about realism, the whole thing is unrealistic, which is fine of course since this is a fantasy.
