It's mind alteration/brain drain lobotomy, therefore it is mental control, and therefore okay here. Otherwise, most of the aforementioned series would have been taken down.

Well, in fairness, the last series had re-education happen, which meant people were definitely being controlled. This one is just brain drain, so I can see why Seven might think it didn't belong.
