Here's a joke (kind of) that doesn't work in english that well. Kanji can have "pronunciation guides" written on the side of the characters (since kanji can be pronounced different ways). Sometimes these pronunciation guides are totally different than the actual kanji, in this case "refuel" is pronounced "sex".
Perhaps then you could use "fill 'er up" for a similar effect in English?

Perhaps I wasn't clear. The word for "refuel" is "Nenryō hokyū" and the pronunciation guide says to pronounce that "sekkusu". In other words, the pronunciation guide is just wrong, that's not a valid way to pronounce that kanji. This isn't really a pun, and wouldn't work at all in spoken japanese.
