So, right. First thing. With this chapter, i'm changing the way I draw the comic. Originally, with previous parts I just drew the whole thing in one go, panels and all, directly on the piece of paper i'd then scan. Now, every panel is an individual drawing done full size and composited into a single page digitally. Hopefully the improvement shows. Text, panel borders and effects are done digitally and every drawing is resized. I think this will work out better.

Honestly, the only reason I picked that time was because I thought it would look interesting to have it not be an exact time, to give a hint of her having a quirky personality, since, well, probably not a big spoiler... we're not going to see much of a personality from her anymore, soon enough.
Like, she probably wanted to get up earlier on her own accord, overslept anyway, and set some random number sometime after that as a fallback to make sure she wasn't TOO late, to presumably get her kid up for school. (yeah by the way as we'll soon see, she is a mother in her early to mid-30's). Like she wanted to be responsible, but probably don't have that much faith that she would be.
All in the attempt to at least showcase a little quirky potential for the character that clearly isn't going to be followed up on, if in case, you're not able to tell by the comic's premise and where this is probably going. hehe.
But i'm glad some people actually asked or wondered about this, since, if no one did, there would be no other good reason for me to even reveal or talk about these hidden little nuggets of backstory.
