There is a degree of horror with the character in the fact she shows awareness to being the monster she's becoming and can't - or won't even try - resisting against it. It's sad actually.

well, her will was broken before the initial conditioning that had her assassinate her husband. So even if she could resist what TALON did to her, she literally doesn't have the willpower anymore.

In some ways, she still does. She visited the grave of her husband in the Christmas comic and is notably pissed in-game if anyone speaks of Gérard in a bad light (or their relationship).

That just shows she still loves him, even thought she killed him, but doesn't change the fact she is still a tool without will to TALON. so my point still stands.
