This does indeed line up somewhat with Pathouli's character.

BTW, Did I ever mention that while Byakuren is my favorite Touhou girl and Yukari is my favorite Touhou girl to TTT (turning the tables) Patchouli is my favorite hypnosis subject in of the touhou universe in general?

Ah, I see you are a person of taste as well. Though my favorites are Hina and Patchouli. Byakuren is a good choice too...as well as Yukari. I can totally see her flipping things around to come out in her favor.

I would say you're right if this weren't an anime-style image. I feel that this image has captured an essence of warmth in carried by the tone of the scene that the original image is meant to imply. I'd also think that the expression of the character sells it quite well in a way.
