This particular artist commonly draws trainers corrupted into Hex versions of themselves. They are typically tagged as hypnosis in the source, so this is in fact May brainwashed into a Hex Maniac.

I really hope the continued popularity of Hex Maniac makes her design a permanent NPC in the games...such a shame she never got to be with a Mimikyu this gen >.>
