"super-hypnotized"
Golden Age comics. That's all you need to know. If you ever see a thing where Batman is in a zebra-pattern suit or Wonder Woman is throwing a screaming fat lady at Japanese sailors just repeat to yourself: Golden Age comics.

Superdickery is more Silver Age. This is definitely Silver Age: per wiki, Action Comics 362 released in spring 1968. The Silver Age is held to begin around 1955 with the release of the Barry Allen Flash comic, although it didn't get into full swing until the 60s, especially with Marvel's rise to promise.

If this is allowed, can i post that panel from the silver age comics where superman was brainwashed into thinking he was, (in his own words mind you) "DER FURHER OF NAZI GERMANY"
if it has hypnosis in it, then it's fine.
