It's funny you mention that given her dialogue after you beat her in Colour Splash youtu.be/mqa1J5XfQU8?t=353 Then again I guess it's up to interpretation to see what's more canon to the main series between the cartoon and the Paper Mario spin-offs, though the latter get more credits by virtue of being more directly made by Nintendo

Huh. Didn't know she thought Mario was cute in Color Splash. Also, definitely Paper Mario. The cartoon is only somewhat linked to the Mario universe. Paper Mario, although it ended up being a story book world, is still fairly close to the rest of the games, at least with how the characters generally act and how the world is set up.

To be fair, I don't think I've ever seen Bowser or the Koopa Kids depicted as cleanly. They're neutral at best, and I consider neutral feet stinky.
