The whole episode is based on it, but just during short moments the elf triggers that state.
The first time he make her lie and leave with him (with empty eyes).
The second one he force her to answer questions
the third one but Diablo break the spell.

Can someone help me understand why anything the brother does is considered okay in universe? And why it took this long for him to be die?

His brother is basically Oberon from SAO
Fans hate them but at least they created a new path for doujin creators to have fun
... Which ironically make me love them so much due to the amount of MC/Mind Break doujins they've contributed
