Disclaimers, Moana is aged up to 18 etc etc.

This piece was a bit tough to me and really highlighted that I have a long way to go. I wanted to do a background that showed Disney hypno villians in Polynesian art form like Kaa and Maleficent in the musical number. I couldn’t get the brushes to act the way I wanted or the colors to mesh, so in the end I had to cut my losses and put this up because a good artist also knows when it’s time to move on.

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy Moana in the thrall of trickery magic akin to Maui’s illusion spell. It’s one of the briefest and least recognized scenes of mind control on a Disney female, but it’s there and Moana joins the likes of Shanti, Aurora, etc as a hypnotized beauty.

Lesson learned, on to the next piece.

Also, looking into the future now, but Yes, I know it looks like Hypno's dick, but it's not a crossover. It's meant to be an ambiguous magic Tiki drawing man. Not gonna change it, but I am aware of it.

You know what would’ve really sold the whole Disney est cartoon theme? If her eyes had some sort of yellow-orange tropical color pattern to them or something like that. Doesn’t have to be Kaa-patterned or anything, maybe a different shape. Here it looks like someone paused it during that clip, but I could totally see the rest of it if that were made. So it’s good.
