Man, Kaa's like those people who complain on the internet, but when you give them a reasonable, easy solution, they suddenly act like your insane.
That's the single best comment I've gotten for this comic!
The blue one is cute. Actually too bad there wont be a scene now with her and kaa.
The comic's not over yet, but....

And here we comes to Kaa's REAL problem: He's driven by his basic nature. And doesn't have much in the way of common sense. It never even occured to him that he could choose not to play along with what the fans wanted.
He's an animal. 90% of the time? They act on instinct. Even if they have a high amount of intelligence like us Humans.
Not meant to be rude, but I'm merely stating what is true and I hope you know I do enjoy your art style and this comic you're working on. :)

Um... Not meant to be rude either.... I can understand you wanting to defend Kaa, but I wasn't actually attacking him. I was just summing up what in many ways is Kaa's defining, tragic, or maybe tragicomic, flaw... Disney's Kaa is EXTREMELY flawed, but this is part of what makes him memorable. If he hadn't had those flaws, he would have been a boring and one-dimensional stock character. (He would in fact have been the smug and invincible hypnotic-meme version of Kaa, whom I don't find all that interesting.)
Your counterargument is true for REAL animals, but Kaa isn't a real animal. The animals of The Jungle Book, both the original books and the movies, are capable of abstract and rational thought, and they're capable of thinking ahead and planning for the future, even to the point where they can force themselves to do things they don't really want to do because it will improve their situation in the future. In short, they are capable of common sense.
Kaa, however, isn't. Now, if we're talking about the Kaa of the original Rudyard Kipling book, that's a different case... Kipling's Kaa is an ancient, wise and rather stoic guy who usually thinks before he acts. A little too easily offended and prone to sulking, but definitely not lacking in common sense.(Of course, Kipling's Kaa is in no way a villain... and it's pretty much established that his hypnotic eyes don't work on humans, so Kipling's Mowgli is immune.)
Disney's Kaa, however, is a different story. Looking at the character such as he appears in animation, it often seems like the world is out to get him... but in fact a considerable number of his misfortunes are at least partially his own fault, because he just follows his whims, and plain doesn't think ahead or learn from his mistakes.
And that's really the point of this comic... Kaa complains about being stuck in a stressful situation and he just doesn't get that he COULD easily get out of it any time he wanted. But as long as he refuses to learn from his mistakes, or develop into something more than he is, he can't improve upon his situation at all. Which is unfortunate for him, but fortunate for the Internet, as he'll keep hypnotizing the girls they send to him.
If you disagree with my characterization of Kaa in this comic, that's fine. But I'm portraying him this way because I think it fits his character, and because I think it makes for a funnier and more engaging story.

It's not that I disagree. And I never make counterarguments. I merely state my opinion. If you feel I'm attacking you? I apologize and want you to know that wasn't my intent. I have high functioning Autism that makes me socially imperceptive at times. I might not always understand what point people try making and conversely, I might not always be clear with my point to people, even if I myself believe I am. Again, I'm sorry and I hope you know I'm merely trying to have a civil discussion.

For some reason I feel like the next step is for Kaa to go to some sort of self-help group or take up a hobby. I am amused by this concept too.
