I don't understand. HirotoStar just commissions these images, right? Why become a patron of someone who doesn't make anything himself? Couldn't you just use that money to commission what you want directly from an artist?

The wording makes it sounds like it supports a group. And even if it isn't I can see it working as a "chip-in" deal, if you have no money to commission a $40 piece but wanna help produce more content.

As far as I know, they are a group of artists, I think. I mean, I think they work together as a team, but I can't say for sure. Anyway, it is much cheaper to get a reward image paying a monthly amount as patron (for example 2 o 5$) and vote to get your character, than to buy a commission directly to one of the artists individually (25 or 30 or 40 $ for example in case of the artist in this image).

At least I think so. I'm wrong?
