3/3 would love to make a gif of the transition of her normal eyes and expression to totally blank and empty where it is now, maybe next week when i can download it

While it's not really too important to the overall plot, I'll throw on a spoiler tag just in case.

At the beginning of season 6, Ruby and co. find an abandoned farm in the woods and run into Grimm known as the Apathy. While not inherently strong, these Grimm drain someone's will to live (hence the name "Apathy"). They can do this passively over time or all at once when they yell, kind of like ReDead's in Zelda if you're familiar with that. In this particular scene, the gang's being chased through an underground waterway when the Apathy let out a yell leading this image. To show someone "losing the will to live", the character's eyes become empty.

So not really mind control so much as emotional depression control. I assume she breaks out of it rather easily

In this case they only break out of it because Ruby uses her silver eyes to kill the Grimm.
