While I agree his comment is stupid, there's honestly nothing in the image that immediately signals it as trans rather than futa, with the exception it isn't tagged futa. Which honestly usually means the image isn't tagged properly.

Guys, this is literally the fursona of a trans user on tumblr.
If this is about the tag edit war, that's good to know but not actually relevant as far as tagging gender goes. We're not trying to misgender anyone or anything, but for consistency's sake gender tags typically go by appearance over outside context. And going by appearance, the character has the appearance of a <<hypnohub.net/wiki/show?title=futanari|futa >>(breasts + penis), regardless of the owner's gender.
Additionally, it's a little confusing, but hypnohub uses <<hypnohub.net/wiki/show?title=transgender|transgender>> to specifically mean a character being transformed from one gender to another, not for a character who is trans.

For literally the entire life of the site it has gone by by "Tag what you see" as the rule for tagging. Which is why even if a picture of an anime or game character isn't beind used as a faceclaim but the character is named differently in the image, it is still tagged with the official character name.

Point out where in the actual image itself that is made clear. I don't follow furries on Tumblr, so I have no way of knowing anything about the person this is a fursona of. You cannot assume every user of this site will know who this person is or their gender identity. So while I appreciate the added context, it should have been provided when the image was posted.
