She's got pretty huge on Twitter. I'm really happy for her success, but success also means you have to tone the weird down, and I don't think she does anything but typical vanilla porny pictures now.

Merunyaa herself doesn't have a Diaper/AR/ABDL fetish. The reason Merunyaa got a lot of commissions for that stuff is because, as she herself puts it, "she has a fetish for making other people happy.". Which of course, given that she has a wonderful art style, meant that the ABDL people flooded her with commissions. She got overwhelmed, and has since restructured her stuff to reflect the fact that she herself doesn't have an ABDL fetish (any new ABDL stuff is put into a public MEGA download, while everything else gets posted to the various sites she posts on.)

You're framing it like the only reason she stopped is because she doesn't have that particular fetish, which absolutely isn't true, she doesn't do any fetish art, full stop now. I followed her tumblr for a while, she's done pictures for lots and lots of far more extreme fetishes, mostly to experiment with getting better at drawing different things, she does everything for her art. The bottom line is when you have a public twitter that's getting bigger and bigger and you're getting shout outs by big hentai artists publicly, it makes sense to just go full vanilla to not scare people off.

Seriously?! That’s extremely disappointing. Event artists that use to take commissions just end up being patreon only and basically just becoming super mainstream and completely just dropping off the commissions closed, and then just saying “commissions closed” like there’s a chance they’ll ever be open, and even then it sounds like shouldn’t do it anyway from that.

If you'd read what I had said, you'd notice that I never said Meru stopped doing Fetish art, because she hasn't. She's just stopped posting the fetish art commissions openly on the sites she posts to (mainly her pixiv and twitter), and instead dumps them in the MEGA folder that she has for all of her art. (Following spiel is quoted from "ThermiteKitten" in the comments of an exhentai gallery of some of Meru's art.)
She self-described herself as having a fetish for getting people off, which is why she'll accept commissions for almost any type of fetish art, and her cute style + being a decent human being + willingness to do diapers made her explosively popular in the ABDL commissioner circuit. All the ABDL art wiped out her free time and her motivation to draw the kind of things she personally wanted to, and when she did draw a few personal ideas, her new audience didn't support it or show any interest. So she's only uploading stuff she personally likes to her Pixiv in order to build an audience that likes what she likes, and since the ABDL/niche fetish stuff will get commissioned and reposted anyways she doesn't really need to advertise it.
Please don't try and shove words down my mouth just to make your points, especially when the words you attempt to shove are wrong. It's not a nice thing to do.
