I think single column is Ideal because that way you only have to scroll down. I just open all the pages beforehand (inconvenient but oh well) and then scroll down each one, closing the page when done. Cursor in the middle to auto read translations since I can't read runes. In this format, you have to scroll up and right after every column which takes more time (at least for me).
