I remember the first time I fought Elmdore in FF: tactics. That vampire status effect wrecks you if you walk into that fight unprepared. He hits a character who's about to go next in turn, then that character hits the next, and before you know it its game over. And as a guy who used a game shark a lot, it DOES work the other way around on normal human enemies. transmit Vampire to all the enemies and the game treats them as dead.
